- Synopsis: Noah and Jude are non identical twins and they live on the California coast in the town of Lost Cove with parents. Twins are always close together, by age of 13 Noah fall in live with boy named Brian. For Jude she starts to make ups and dress up lie teenage girls. However few years lather they stop talking each other there something happened between them. Through the story they try to find the way to get back together and try to change the their world.

This story is start with Noah's 13 years old experience. he was get bullied by Zephyr and Fly because Noah was gay person and likes arts. He was drawing the David in his sketch book and Zephyr and Fly tried to rip up the drawing. Then, Noah's twin sister Jude came and said the drawing is good so they stop the beating up Noah and run away. through this Noah think that Zephyr likes Jude so they stop the bullying. When Noah and Jude get back home and having a dinner mother Dianna told them to go to the fine arts high school. This news was good for Noah because he could study the arts entire high school. Weeks later Dianna, Noah, and Jude went to the city museum café both of them are going to apply to CSA in a year. At there Noah saw boys and he things they are cute. Mother and Jude was talking about grandma's bible and mother thinks Jude have to receive the bible. In the bible there are so many ideas and advice. After the conversation mother told them to show the sketchbooks so Noah showed to her, but she complained his art. then mother ignored Jude's sketch.
Three years later Jude become 16 old and she always carrying her grandmother's bible and follow the advice. two years ago her mother Dianna kill by accident in rainy days of December. Right now Jude's are in the CSA and leaning arts however she thinks she is not belong to this school. Because her art works keeps failing apart in ceramic and sculpture. Her art teacher wondered how Jude passed the test and asked anything that she have to say. Then Jude asked teacher to she wants to make something out of stone. So her teacher set up the tutor Guillermo Garcia who works at outside of school and he knew about Dianna.
In the story Jude has ability to talk with her dead grandmother but she can't communicate with her mother. One day she went to the church and think about is she get along with her mentor and reflected on her general life. Suddenly someone took her picture, the English accent photographer was standing there and talked with her and leave. Now she headed to the Guillermo's place and photographer was there.
On the way home Jude received emergency text from Heather the closest friend of Noah. it said " Noah at Devil's Drop in 15" it means Noah is try to dive into the ocean at Devil's Drop. So Jude run to the devil drop and saved Noah several times because he keeps jumping into ocean. After few times Noah success the jump and Jude though she could go back time.
When Noah was using a binocular from his roof he found a new boy who watching Noah through the telescope. He met with new boy and boy gives Noah a black stone. After that Noah went to CSA portrait drawing class but he didn't registered for class so he draws outside the window. the student came and impressed with Noah's work but they burned his art work.
Few days later Noah meets up with telescope boy who likes to collect stones. Through conversation Noah get crush on him.
when Noah and Jude was playing a board game called Ouija, they asked who is going to CSA and who's not. The board game said Jude will get into the CSA and Noah don't. They did several times but result was same. That night Noah started to worry and he couldn't sleep so he went to the wood with new kid. He introduced him self as Brian. He goes to east coast boarding schools and he skipped grade. Also he likes to collect a space garbage. When Noah was taking with Brian he encounter with Fry and another bully guy Big Foot and they called Noah and Brian as a homo. Noah was try to run away from there but Brian he threaten bullies by throwing meteorites like a machine gun. After that bullies apologized to them and run away. Noah and Brian started to spending time together and Jude noticed. Then she get interested in Brian.
Noah and Brian watching stars from the roof Brian talked about his father who left house. while watching stars they had romantic time.
Next day The Hornet Girls Courtney Barrett, Clementine Cohen, Lulu Mendes and Heather invite Brian and Noah to hand out. Noah leaves because he didn't want to see Brian talk to girls. On the way back he imagined everything had last night.
Jude and mother having a quarrel about Jude's clothes and makeups. Jude is jealous about Noah and Brian hanged out with Hornet Girls. When Brian and Noah went to the movie they hold their hand.
Before Brian head back to east they had a party. At there they play game that one boy and girl choose from team and they locked in a closet for seven minutes to see what happened. Noah and Heather choose for closet and he kissed her imagining her as Brian. When Brian saw them he got angry and he went to the closet with Jude. Noah couldn't stand there and leave the party.
Go back to sixteen old Jude. Jude are try to make a stone sculpture with Guillermo's guidance. However she can't stop thinking about the English accent guy. Then Noah came to her room now he is in a Roosevelt High and he joined a cross country team. He tells her about their father will away for week and he planning to have a party. He agreed with becoming Jude's mentor and begins to work together. One day she went to the Guillermo's studio she learn about English guy and his name is Oscar. He is in college and Guillermo saved his life years ago. She begins to make contact with Oscar and falling love in him.
However later in story from their conversation she find out they are non blood related father and son. She think if Noah and father has this kinds of relationship.
She explains Guillermo about she wants to make a sculpture of her mother, Jude think this is the only way to get forgiveness from her mother ghost. He accept her request and they starts nude studies of Oscar. He tells Jude not to think but draw with the heart. After that she had conversation with Oscar and he asked her to be a nude model for him. she reject the request, also she jealous of the fact Oscar appears to be dating a girl named Sophia.
While Guillermo is out Jude try to finds things that represent him. At his office she found written letters but never mailed. She also found hundreds of books, including some written by her mother. She stale them and leave studio.
When she gets home Noah interested to learn that Jude will doing sculpture of their mother. When she explain the detail about the plan and she talks about their mother's appearance Noah fakes receiving call and leaves. Jude realized that Noah don't want to talk about their mother and she thought they will never be go back to old days.
When Jude talks to her grandmother's ghost Oscar came in and saw her talking. she explains that she could talk to grandmother's ghost. he amused rather then weirded out. while they are talking he explains he and Sophia not a couple, and that they never been in a relationship more than nine days. Also, he explain that he could communicate with his mother in his dream and he keeps mother's favorite seashell as a lucky charm.
After talked with Oscar she begins to wonder why she could talk with dead or she just making up in her mind. When she researching about Oscar and she found that his last name is Ralph. that moment she remembered that her parrot keep saying searching for Ralph.
Go back to Noah. Noah is approaching the age of 14. after the party Brian leaves, he sees instant messages between Jude and Brian and Noah jealous about them. He goes to 225 Day Street, where Guillermo's studio. He watched Guillermo like a father and he was teaching students. When Noah saw them he realized how much he wants to get into CSA. On the way home Dianna pick him up. while Noah notices strange behavior with her lately, like smoking cigarettes, and always keeping her cellphone with her. Later Noah learns that his parents need space and are separating. Also, Jude tells Noah that she didn't steal Brian and nothing happened in the closet. At the message she was talking to other person.
In the winter break Brian return and they went to the wood and kissed. Brian tells Noah that how much he important to him. They went to Noah's house and about to have sex in Noah's bedroom but Dianna walked in to the room. Brian leaves, and Dianna talked Noah that his feeling is normal and needs courage to be himself. Noah tell mother to not to tell his father. Next day he saw mother was talking in the phone saying she is going to meet at the Wooden Bird to discuss something important with Noah. Then Jude send an E-mail to CSA about to see Noah's portfolio. She texts message that she wants to talk to him and return to sculpture. While walking back home she got text from Heather saying Noah is not himself, and he wants to jump Dead Man's near the spot. At a party Zephyr helps Jude to find Noah. Noah was really drunk and he was standing near the cliff's edge. However, Oscar came out from nowhere and stops Noah from Jumping.
After rescued Noah Jude went back to studio and finishing up the Dianna's sculpture. Later Oscar came and looks at Jude's sketches of her mother and he knew who she is. Then Guillermo came and said he can't help her any more and told her to leave. Noah came to studio and he blames his mother's death on Guillermo. Also, I thought his parent didn't think about his feelings because if parents are gay or lesbian he will get teased by friends at school. He is the one who gets hurt. I know being him/herself is need lot of courage and his parents had. I will accept the gay or lesbian but I am not sure about having kids.
Blog #3: To become a friend I would choose Brian Connelly. Through the novel I felt Brian is same as us. In the story he like astronomy and collecting meteorites, great baseball player, but he secretly gay and he worries about people finds out that. Every person has one or two secrets and they afraid that people find out and how they react and, become alone. So most of the people pretends to be straight. I am same as Brian and everyone, I don't want to be alone.
